The Throne of Allah

The Quran: The Throne of Allah

Read Ayatul Kursi - Surat Al-Baqurah, verse 255

Bismillah Hir-Rahman Nir-Raheem

There is no god besides the Almighty God, Allah, the Most High - the Immortal, Everlasting One. He watches over all His creation and never wearies of it. Everything in the heavens and earth has been created by Him and so it belongs to Him.

No one can stop Him from exerting His power unless He wills it; His Will is based on mercy, compassion and justice: He treats all His creation fairly and justly and He will not tolerate tyranny or injustice.

He has knowledge of everything and everyone, and nothing escapes His notice, and they all depend upon His benevolence, generosity and kindness. He has knowledge of all men - He is a Witness to all their deeds and doings they have committed whether in the past or their future - they cannot escape His justice.

The Throne of Allah

Not one of His creation can continue to exist or survive without Him because they all rely on Him for knowledge. Since He is the Creator, and everything is under His control,  then only He can have all of its knowledge; but He only gives part of His infinite knowledge to man - knowledge that is beneficial to his needs - knowledge he does not need will be beyond his understanding since he lacks the wisdom and intelligence to grasp it.

He observes all His creation as He sits on His Mighty Throne - the Throne that extends over all the heavens and the earth - so He can watch over all of it with ease, all by Himself, and prevent it from any harm coming to it. He is above all and He is Self-Sufficient- He needs no one - His Might and Power is infinite, but His creation needs Him. Only He is worthy of the highest praise and honour, and all glory is His!
